Our Office of Senior Protection works hard to protect Kentuckians from the financial harm associated with fraud and scams by issuing consumer alerts. Here are some of our most recent consumer alerts. 

  • 6/30/21: Beware of a new scam that results in consumers paying large fees for business documents that can be obtained at little or no cost. if you encounter this scam, report it to our office at 888-432-9257.

  • 6/29/21: Puppy scams are on the rise. If you’re looking to purchase a puppy, beware of scammers who post fake ads or demand money using cash apps. To report a scam, call us at 888-432-9257 or report online at ag.ky.gov/scams.

  • 6/26/21: Tech support scammers try to gain remote access to your computer to fix a fake technical issue or virus. Report scams at ag.ky.gov/scams and learn more about these scams from the Federal Trade Commission.

  • 6/19/21: This week, Philips recalled certain breathing devices, such as BiLevelPap and CPAP devices, due to possible health risks related to materials in the devices. Learn more.
