Whether cyber criminals are preying on senior citizens, stealing the identities of our residents, or luring our children into dangerous situations, Attorney General Conway works each day with prosecutors and investigators to make sure these perpetrators are brought to justice.

The Attorney General’s Office also works with residents to educate them about possible dangers that may be lurking online. Please visit these pages often to find information that can protect your children, your identity and your bank account.

Shelley Riling

Story of Shelley Riling, whose 13-year-old niece, Christina Long, was murdered by a 25-year-old man she met over the Internet.  Shelley spoke about her and Christina’s ordeal at the October 16, 2006 i-Jam Internet Safety Conference hosted by the Office of the Attorney General.

The Office of the Attorney General hopes Shelley’s story will raise awareness among parents and children of the dangers in developing relationships with strangers met on the Internet.
