Child Victims Trust Fund

Helping Kentucky's most vulnerable children

I Care About Kids license plate, small

The Child Victims’ Trust Fund (CVTF) has provided funding for child sexual abuse prevention programs since 1985. Administered by the Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Prevention Board, the CVTF receives revenue from proceeds of the “I Care About Kids” special license plates, the Kentucky Income Tax Refund Check-Off and private donations.

The Board, pursuant to KRS 15.935, may authorize disbursement of trust fund monies to private non-profit and public organizations. To that end, grants are awarded annually for child sexual abuse prevention programs and for reimbursement of expenses for child sexual abuse medical examinations to state designated children’s advocacy centers.

Awards are provided for prevention program activities conducted during the state fiscal year, July 1 through June 30. Grant applications may be downloaded via this site or by contacting the Grants Program Administrator at (502) 696-5312 or (800) 372-2551.
