I am a kentucky resident, however, I took online college courses from Florida Metropolitian University which changed its name to Everest Orlando South, Florida, which is ran by Corinthian Colleges in Nov 2007. I was told by the admission representative that the college was accredited and recognized by many other colleges around the nation. However, after receiving my associates in criminal investigation, I wanted to transfer to another school to continue my education and get my Bachelor's degree when I found out that my credits were not transferable and my degree was worthless. The school insisted that I attend Everest College Pheonix for my Bachelor's degree, however many of my credits didn't transfer and I had to take a lot of courses again and was charged twice. I was also told that Everest helped with job placement after graduation, I graduated in 2010 and requested help by the school, the school responded and told me to apply to my local department, which seemed like common sense and not helpful at all. I was also told by the admission rep about tuition fees which were much less than what they billed my financial aid for. I am very afraid I have been scamed and defrauded beyond my control. Is there anything I can do. Can you give me more information or put me in contact with someone that I can contact about this matter. My student loans are over $59,000.00. Could Sallie Mae and Corinthian College be working hand and hand to defraud the government and students out of billions of dollars?
